Poodles are good family dogs — fun, energetic, smart and easy to train. They do best with plenty of exercise for both mind and body and prefer to be with people most of the time. They are not good kennel dogs. Socialization should begin early and include other people, other pets and the grooming routine.
Like all dogs, Miniature Poodles will need regular exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of love. Some might consider Miniature Poodles to be high-maintenance because of their coat, which needs professional grooming every four to six weeks.
In general, Poodles don't enjoy spending too much time alone, preferring to stay in the heart of their family.
